Okiedokie - here we go....

I had wanted to take part in a 30-day photo-a-day challenge my daughter told me about and had decided to start this past Monday, however,  I kept my niece and nephew (greats) and they pretty much kept me on my toes the whole day - I totally forgot about the project until tonight.  I would say better late than never, but I'm too tired.  I will see how I'm feeling tomorrow...maybe I'll start then.  I'll  keep the blog posted (no pun intended...lol).

Here's a little something for in the meantime....

Well crud...

So I decided to get started on this blog by posting pictures from when my daughter moved to California and now I can't find where I stored the rest of my pictures from the trip.  I thought they might be in one of my online photo accounts, but haven't found them yet.  I'm giving myself a couple of more days and then I'm moving on to a new theme...(I can always come back to finish this one up later, right?).

However, I do believe this is an appropriate photo to post for today!

Can anyone say "Ziggy Day!"  lol

Hello blog-world - thought I would join the fun and since I don't have necessarily so much to say, I thought I'd make my blog a 'photo place' to start with. I've seen different ones of my family and friends with their photography projects, some of them themed, and thought I'd like to give that a try. This is the first time I've ever added a photo so this is my test piece. I'm thinking a photo a day will be too ambitious for me to start off with, so I'm going to spend a couple of weeks just getting the feel of the process and the blogging system here.

This photo was taken in (I think) Arizona, or perhaps California, when my daughter moved.  She and I made her move into a road trip and had a great time of it!  So I'm going to cull through some of the pictures and post them a few at a time.  I guess that makes the theme of this first set "A Moving Road Trip" - sounds good and covers a lot of bases.  Not sure how long I'll spend on it - I'm horrible at deciding which photos to use for stuff - but it'll get my wings to workin' in the blogsphere.

And thus begins my foray into phoblography - sorry - I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make up a new word!  lol  (and, yes kids, I know that was "dumb" and I know you're laughing at me, but that's okay because I'm laughing at me too!  lol)   Okiedokie then....here I go.
My daughter in a prickly situation!

I forget what these round ones are called, but it can sure be a challenge to get a good close-up!

This pretty little lady was sitting on eggs.  She was so still we almost didn't even see her!

Well, I guess that's all I'm going to attempt tonight.  They're not really laid out the way I'd like, but I'm sure I'll get the hang  of that soon enough.

I do want to give a shout out to those of my family and friends who encouraged me to start this little venture... I've taken a look at what you've all done over the last few years and have been inspired!  :   Camille, Jan, Laura, AndriaPandria, Andrea, Brenda, and John.  Thanks for getting me started.
